/ Posted By: AiMingQi

Welcome to Those Funken Dronez Pilot Registrations!

Becoming a pilot at the first Those Funken Dronez will be an exciting and challenging experience. That Funken Trak is going to press your piloting skills to the max, but it will also give you the opportunity to find your skills, work together as a team, and present your abilities to a captive audience.

Drone racing has been challenged in the past to make the races compelling for the folks, who aren’t pilots, but are intrigued by the experience and want to come watch.  It turns out without the right blend of entertainment drone racing can be a bit tough to follow. Our mission at Those Funken Dronez is to change that and make the experience as colorful, engaging, entertaining and surprising as possible to all who attend.  We will do everything in our power to elevate your status as a true FPV Drone Racing Pilot and will help inform the public about your personality, gifts and achievements in the world of the sport.  We only ask your cooperation in helping to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for everyone involved.

Team Selection

You must choose your team carefully.  The RED Team is the home team and represents our APD Racing Chapter.  If you would like to fly for the RED Team APD then you must also be a member of the MultiGP® APD Racing Chapter.

The first pilot registered for each of the BLUE, GREEN, and YELLOW Teams will be given the exclusive rights to name the Team for the event.  If you would like to fly together as a team we recommend registering together quickly.

As pilots become registered and submit their photos and videos we will be listing the members on the web.  There are only 5 available racing slots for each team so please choose carefully.  You will not be able to change teams after you have registered.

The Glitter Dome is home to all sorts of exciting events and is the perfect place to have an exciting FPV Drone Race.  That Funken Trak will be a 100' x 60' box, with a large safety net on the south side.  The track has been specially designed to allow maximum viewing while allowing for some challenging and competitive racing.  Special precautions have also been made to ensure everyone's safety.  There will also be a large audience area with drone related vendors, food trucks, and a bar for the adults. The event is entirely indoors so weather is not an issue.  Be sure to bring your FPV Goggles if you have them as we will be announcing the frequencies the pilots are on the day of the race. Wear the colors appropriate for your team if you feel like it.  The pilots will love the support you bring and it will help them win the race.
